By using Atlantis as permanent subsea installations for development of smaller fields, or in combination with floating flowlines for complete field developments, the challenges related to flow assurance can be considerably reduced, as all systems will be installed at a level with mild environment.

In addition the cost of drilling and well maintenance for the development wells can be reduced considerably. The availability of vessels to perform well interventions during the field lifetime will also be improved, as there is a large fleet of vessels that can operate with the (artificial) seabed at 200-300 meters.
